Going on with the aim of teaching students the cultural aspect of the English language, at the end of November, we have dealt with the main festivity in the US: Thanksgiving Day.
Students from 1o ESO A, B, D and 3o ESO C, D and PMAR, with their English teachers Mercedes Castro, Carmen Pérez and Pepa Enciso, have made a searching project on the subject and its historical background and they have learnt how important Thanksgiving Day is for Americans.
And, to decorate the classrooms and the school hall, they have designed a big turkey whose feathers are our students’ thanks for the people and things that are important for them.
Continuando con el propósito de enseñar a los alumnos el aspecto cultural de la lengua inglesa, a finales de noviembre, hemos trabajado la principal festividad en Estados Unidos: el Día de Acción de Gracias.
Los alumnos de 1o ESO A, B, D y 3o ESO C, D y PMAR, con sus profesoras de inglés Mercedes Castro, Carmen Pérez y Pepa Enciso, han hecho un trabajo de investigación sobre el tema y su trasfondo histórico y han aprendido lo importante que Acción de Gracias es para los americanos.
Y, para decorar las clases y el hall del centro, han diseñado un gran pavo cuyas plumas son los agradecimientos de nuestros alumnos por las personas y las cosas que son importantes para ellos.
