Going on with the aim of teaching students the cultural aspect of the English language, we have dealt during these days with the main festivity in the US: Thanksgiving Day.
Students from 1º ESO B, 2º ESO A, 2º ESO B, 2º ESO C, 3º DICU and 1º Bachillerato A, with their English teachers Carmen Sorroche and Carmen Pérez, have made a searching project on the subject and its historical background and they have learnt how important Thanksgiving Day is for Americans.
And, to decorate the bilingual corner in the school hall, they have designed a big turkey whose feathers are our students’ thanks for the people and things that are important for them. In the case of 1º ESO B, students have done wonderful bookmarks.
Continuando con el propósito de enseñar a los alumnos el aspecto cultural de la lengua inglesa, hemos trabajado en estos días la principal festividad en Estados Unidos: el Día de Acción de Gracias.
Los alumnos de 1º ESO B, 2º ESO A, 2º ESO B, 2º ESO C, 3º DICU y 1º Bachillerato A, con sus profesoras de inglés Carmen Sorroche y Carmen Pérez, han hecho un trabajo de investigación sobre el tema y su trasfondo histórico y han aprendido lo importante que Acción de Gracias es para los americanos.
Y, para decorar las clases y el rincón bilingüe del hall del centro, han diseñado un gran pavo cuyas plumas son los agradecimientos de nuestros alumnos por las personas y las cosas que son importantes para ellos. En el caso de los alumnos de 1º ESO B, éstos han elaborado unos fantásticos marcapáginas.
